From Fresco to Flame
Hybrid Workshop
Starts on September 30, 2026
What You'll Experience
Explore the fusion of fresco and encaustic in this five-week hybrid workshop. Learn to work in layers—coloring and shaping the arriccio, applying intonaco, and finishing with encaustic—while embracing textures, cracks, and surprises as they emerge. We learn to read these transformations—and to work with them rather than against them.
You are invited to let go of expectations, engage with your intuition and allow the materials to guide you. You work in the moment and discover a space where emotions can flow freely.
The focus isn’t just on the final outcome, nor perfection but on the experience of losing yourself in the process and seeing where the work takes you. It is all about creating personal and expressive artworks.
This course is open to anyone interested in experimental, intuitive, and process-based creation – no prior experience with fresco techniques required.
Curious what participants created in our last workshop? Enjoy a three minute stroll through the Finissage (Closing Event) and discover the impressive students‘ works.

But that’s just the beginning. The possibilities of wax painting are incredibly rich and varied.
