I had the good fortune of taking an Encaustic and Fresco class with Bettina Egli. She is an amazing instructor. Her process for teaching a complicated topic was well-planned and thoughtful. Her concern for helping her students understand the materials and techniques was paramount throughout this 7-day class. Her demonstrations were timely and filled with important tips. She allowed plenty of time for hands-on learning. Thanks to Bettina, I finished the class with the ability and knowledge to implement this technique in my own studio. I’m so thankful I had the opportunity to work with her. I highly recommend that you take her class—you will gain a wealth of knowledge!!!!!

Bettina is a wonderful artist and educator. Working with her at a retreat last year I learned fresco techniques but also ways of viewing and relating to my own work that will impact my studio practice forever. It would be an honor to take any class she offered in the future.

Bettina is lovely to work with, knowledgeable in both fresco and encaustic, able to translate both process and product to students’ experience, and able to provide feedback and critique along the way.
